I'm an HE lecturer and external examiner, delivering the Teesside University BSc Music Technology programme and reporting on the Roots & Popular Music programme at New College Durham. I am also an experienced freelance audio engineer and composer. In 2012 I completed BSc Music Technology with first class honours. I'm an Avid certified Pro Tools operator, and I'm currently on the Mmus program at Newcastle University.

Since 2000 I've been involved in numerous musical projects that have seen me build up a wealth of experience in recording, writing, producing and performing. I started early, my first gig was at the Park Hotel in Tynemouth when i was 11 years old (1995). Since then my professional life has been dedicated to creating music.

As a member of Mos Eisley and The Motorettes I helped write and record music that resulted in day time play on Radio 1, two sessions for John Peel, a recording/publishing deal with Kitchenware Records, tours with The Futureheads, Kubichek, Biffy Clyro, Editors and We Are Scientists and recording with Chris Sheldon.

I've recorded/produced/mixed singles by The Castells (played on Radio 1 and XFM) and Oh My Days. I've recorded and mixed bands such as Sunset Sons and the Futureheads. I've been mastering engineer on a number of projects for Tiny Lights Records. My composition 'Surfing Music' was included on the DVD surfing documentary 'For Better, For Worse'.

I've been a resident DJ for Ten Feet Tall in Middlesborough, worked for huge club nights like Bulletproof, Stone Love and Shindig on production and promotion and self promoted gigs for the likes of Toronto based Knifehandchop (Tigerbeat6 Records).

I'm available for recording, production, mix, composition, arrangement, remix and consultation. Please visit the Projects section to hear some of my work, use the details across the page if you wish to contact me.
